In order to implement the safety objectives established by the EASA safety directive SD No.: 2021-02 of 02.06.2021 developed to minimize the risk for passengers and crews by avoiding air operations in FIR Minsk (UMMV), on 03.06.2021, the Romanian Civil Aeronautical Authority issued Edition 01 of the Safety Directive DS:FIR-MINSK.
In accordance with the provisions of the Directive in question, all Romanian air operators, performing air operations in accordance with Regulation (EU) no. 965/2012, will not conduct operations in FIR Minsk (UMMV), unless the use of that airspace is deemed necessary to ensure safe operation in case of unforeseen circumstances. Flight plans will be completed accordingly.
