During the 42nd ICAO Assembly (September 23 - October 3, 2025, Montreal, Canada), Mr. Nicolae Stoica, Head of the Romanian Delegation, Director General of the Romanian Civil Aeronautics Authority, had several high-level bilateral meetings with European and other regional officials: the representative of Japan on the ICAO Council, Mr. Ambassador Toshiyuki Onuma and candidate for the position of President of the ICAO Council, the Chairman of the Legal Commission, Mr. Ambassador Jae Woon Lee, Representative of the Republic of Korea on the ICAO Council for the period 2024-2025, Mr. Juan Carlos Salazar, Secretary General of ICAO, Mr. Julian Rotter, President of the Civil Aviation Authority in Poland and Mr. Mateusz Baczkowski, the elected Representative of Poland on the ICAO Council for the period 2025 - 2028, with whom he addressed topics regarding the global aviation strategy for the coming years.
