The Romanian delegation, led by the General Director of the Romanian Civil Aviation Authority, Nicolae STOICA, managed to fulfill the objective of the Romanian Government and obtained, with the support of the European Commission, ECAC and international partners, a position in the ICAO Council.
Elections for leadership of the most important organization dedicated to the safety of international civil aviation took place on October 4, 2022, during the Assembly 41st Session, an event held in Montreal.
