I. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE
Aircraft maintenance personnel must hold a license corresponding to the activity carried out, a license issued by AACR, in accordance with the provisions of the European regulation PART 66 or RACR-LPTA, as the case may be.
Examination requests must be completed in Romanian and sent to AACR by the aeronautical agent, directly, by mail or fax, at least 25 days before the examination date.
Applicants will complete only the sections specified in the examination application and will provide the necessary documents and certificates, as appropriate (graduation diploma for basic, specialized, copy of the LPTA).
Minimum conditions:
* age: 18 years
* experience: specific training course, approved by AACR
* certificate according to OMT 447/2003

II. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR OBTAINING / CONVERSING THE PART-66 LICENSE

For category A:
1) Forwarding address addressed to the director of the Licensing Department;
2) Form 19 duly completed and signed (the form can be downloaded from the AACR website);
3) Annex to Form 19 - List of works completed and signed accordingly by the quality director or similar, which certifies the performance of the works (the form can be downloaded from the AACR website)
4) Copy of the diploma (s) of studies;
5) Copy of the documents certifying the graduation of the corresponding theoretical and practical courses by type of aircraft;
6) Certificate stating the experience in the field of maintenance of at least 2 years if the applicant has relevant technical training or 3 years if the applicant does not have relevant technical training, of which 6 months before submitting the application;
7) Curriculum Vitae;

* Note:
1) AACR reserves the right to request other additional documents, as appropriate;
2) If the conversion of the national license into a Part-66 license is requested, the file must also include a copy of all pages of the LPTA aeronautical technical personnel license;
3) Following the analysis of the complete file, AACR-DN will establish the examination modules for obtaining the requested category and the examination session and will communicate this information to the applicant, through the Licensing Directorate.

For category B1:
1) Forwarding address addressed to the director of the Licensing Department;
2) Form 19 duly completed and signed (the form can be downloaded from the AACR website);
3) Annex to Form 19 - List of works completed and signed accordingly by the quality director or similar, which certifies the performance of the works (the form can be downloaded from the AACR website);
4) Copy of the diploma (s) of studies;
5) Copy of the documents certifying the graduation of the corresponding theoretical and practical courses by type of aircraft;
6) Certificate showing at least 3 years' work experience in the field of maintenance if the applicant has relevant technical training or 5 years if the applicant does not have relevant technical training, of which 6 months before the application is submitted
7) Curriculum Vitae

2) If the conversion of the national license into a Part-66 license is requested, the file must also include a copy of all pages of the LPTA aeronautical technical personnel license;

III. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED TO MOVE FROM ONE CATEGORY HELD TO ANOTHER CATEGORY OF LICENSE PART-66

From category A to category B2:
1) Forwarding address addressed to the director of the Licensing Department;
2) Form 19 duly completed and signed (the form can be downloaded from the AACR website);
3) Annex to Form 19 - List of works completed and signed accordingly by the quality director or similar, certifying the performance of the works (the form can be downloaded from the AACR website);
4) Copy of the diploma (s) of studies;
5) Copy of the documents certifying the graduation of the corresponding theoretical and practical courses by type of aircraft;
6) Proof of work experience in the field of maintenance exclusively as category B2 personnel of at least 2 years, of which 6 months before the submission of the application, according to Annex IV to Part 66
7) Curriculum Vitae

2) If a part of the mentioned documents is already at AACR, in the file submitted for the category already held, this will be mentioned in the forwarding address and those documents will no longer be submitted;
3) Following the analysis of the complete file, AACR-DN will establish the examination modules for obtaining the new requested category and the examination session and will communicate this information to the applicant, through the Licensing Directorate;

From category B1 to category B2:
1) Forwarding address addressed to the director of the Licensing Department;

6) Certificate stating the work experience in the field of maintenance exclusively as category B2 personnel of at least 1 year, of which 6 months before the submission of the application, according to Annex IV to Part 66;

IV. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR THE LICENSE REGISTRATION OF A NEW TYPE OF AIRCRAFT, FROM THE SAME CATEGORY AS ON THE PART 66 LICENSE HOLDER

1) Forwarding address addressed to Mr. Cristian OLINESCU, Director, Licensing Department;
2) Form 19 duly completed and signed (the form can be taken from Part-66);
3) Copy of the documents certifying the graduation of the corresponding theoretical and practical courses by type of aircraft.

Notes:
1) AACR reserves the right to request other additional documents, as appropriate;
2) If the requested aircraft falls into a different category from that already held on the Part-66 license, in order to be licensed, the applicant must take examinations to remove the limitations on the license (if applicable). and difference examinations to obtain the new required category and to demonstrate compliance with the practical experience requirements for the new required category in accordance with Annex IV to Part-66.

V. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR OBTAINING THE RACR-LPTA LICENSE.

1) Application for examination in order to obtain the license of aeronautical technical personnel in accordance with the RACR-LPTA provisions, having a medical visa;

2) Copy of the documents certifying the completion of a training course specific to the requested qualification, organized at the designer / manufacturer of the respective aviation technique or in a training / maintenance organization authorized / accepted by AACR;

3) Copy of study diplomas in the aeronautical, mechanical or electronic field from universities or other higher education institutions (if applicable);

4) Copy of the documents certifying the practical experience in accordance with the RACR-LPTA requirements;

Notes:

1) For applicants who hold diplomas in aeronautics, mechanics or electronics from universities or other higher education institutions accepted by AACR, the exams can be partially or totally equivalent.

2) AACR may take into account the basic theoretical training carried out by an applicant in his previous work in civilian or military educational institutions, civil aviation organizations or military aviation units.

3) Practical experience acquired outside the field of civil aviation can be taken into account to the extent that it can be equated with the requirements set out in the RACR-LPTA, but it must be supplemented with practical experience in the civil aviation, depending on the license applied for.
