On 4 November 2020, GRF, the new runway status reporting format, was to enter into force. In response to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic and the associated challenges facing the aviation industry, ICAO has delayed the applicability date of the GRF until 4 November 2021 (see State Letter 073e.pdf.).

However, EASA established the entry into force of the GRF on 12.08.2021, according to the provisions of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/2148 of 8 October 2020, which transpose the ICAO requirements for the Global Reporting Format. Guidance materials can be found here.
