The Assembly, which takes place every 3 years, has a number of responsibilities and obligations, including: establishing the Member States to be represented in the Council, examining and taking appropriate action on the reports of the Council, and deciding on any matter reported by the Council. , and last but not least, approves the budgets of the Organization. The Assembly may address the Council, the subsidiary commissions or any other body with any problem within its sphere of action in the field of safety, security or the environment. It may delegate to the Council the necessary powers and authority to perform the ICAO / ICAO tasks.

 

In general, the organization's activity in the technical, administrative, economic, legal and technical fields of cooperation in the field of international civil aviation is analyzed in detail. The Assembly has the power to approve amendments to the Convention on International Civil Aviation (Chicago, 1944), which are subject to ratification by the Member States.

 

Mr. AACR participates in the A38 Assembly. Andrei Corneliu Filipoiu - Director of the Safety Department, Mrs. Rodica Cazanciuc - Director of the Regulations Department and as delegates: Mrs. Sorana Pop and Mr. Cătălin Popa. Romania is present at this meeting with outstanding achievements of AACR on safety supervision and management. Thus, following the ICAO / ICAO audits of the Universal Aviation Safety Audit Program (USOAP) through the Comprehensive Systematic Approach (CSA) 2009, as well as through the continuous monitoring (CMA) and the validation mission (ICVM) 2012, a percentage of 8 was obtained. 5 LEI. This result places Romania on the fourth place in Europe, after France, Great Britain and Ireland and on the 10th place in the world.

 

In the next stage, Romania will fulfill its obligations under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU ICAO CMA), as well as those resulting from the resolutions of the A38 Assembly regarding compliance with the requirements of continuous monitoring and proactive and predictive approach to aviation safety.
