Based on Art. 76 (6) (b) of Regulation (EU) No. 2018/1139, EASA published today, 13.03.2020, the Safety Directive SD-2020-01, in order to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 through flights to and from airports in high risk areas. The directive will apply from 16.03.2020.

The Romanian Civil Aviation Authority, as the competent authority for the certification and supervision of Romanian air operators, must inform EASA, within 7 days from the date of application (16.03.2020), about the measures taken to achieve the described safety objectives in that directive.

In view of the above, we request you to send us by Friday, 20.03.2020, at 10:00, the measures taken to implement the corrective actions recommended by EASA.
