Regarding the entry into force, starting with July 1, 2015, of the methodological norms for the application of the provisions of Law no. 83/2015 for the completion of Law no. 223/2007 on the status of professional civil aviation personnel in civil aviation in Romania, the Romanian Civil Aviation Authority, in order to support the petitioners, announces the list of documents and data necessary for the preparation of communications underlying the calculation of occupational pensions for persons who have performed activities as airborne personnel if the employer no longer exists or no longer has aeronautical personnel on board corresponding to the position held by the person concerned.

Thus, according to the legal provisions, the persons in the above mentioned situation request in writing AACR to issue a communication that will include the list of employers who operate civil aircraft of similar type / class or the nearest class with the civil aircraft that the petitioner held the last qualification and license / attestation.

The petitioner will complete the application with:

- name, surname,

- full postal address,

- phone number,

- email address (if any),

- the series and number of the Identity Card, the CNP, as the case may be, a special notarial power of attorney / heir certificate which will be attached in the original, respectively in a copy conforming to the original,

the type and number of the license, and

- supporting documents regarding the last position held on board.

The petitioner will also submit certified copies of the original of the documents required for the proof of qualifications and of the legal documents proving the last position held on board the qualifications.

AACR has already asked the 45 Romanian air operators to transmit within 10 working days, the types / classes of civil aircraft held in operation as well as the functions on board the aircraft held by the active air navigation personnel.

Once all the information has been received, AACR will process the data for each individual request and will communicate to the petitioners the list of air carriers compatible with each situation (operators operating civilian aircraft of the type / class closest to that of the civilian aircraft which the petitioner owned last qualification and license / attestation), following that the petitioners choose from the list, the air operator to which they can apply for the issuance of the standard certificate for the calculation of the service pension, in case the employer no longer exists or no longer has air navigation personnel with a position on board corresponding to the position held by the person concerned.

                As soon as the communications are completed, for efficiency, the pensioners will be notified by phone or SMS to appear in person to pick them up, at the AACR headquarters in Bucharest, sector 1, sos. Bucharest - Ploiești, no.38 - 40, during the working hours with the public, from Monday to Thursday between 10.00 and 14.00 and on Friday between 10.00 and 13.00.

            So far, AACR has received over 100 requests for the issuance of communications provided by the Rules for the application of Law 83/2015 and estimates that over 500 other people are to address the Romanian Civil Aviation Authority in order to complete the formalities regarding service pensions in the case of those who have carried out activities as air navigation personnel, in the situation where the employer no longer exists or no longer has in operation air navigation personnel with a position on board corresponding to the function held by the person concerned.
