EUROCAE and ACI EUROPE are strengthening their cooperation for the benefit of airports and the aviation community around the world, informs www.atc-network.com. Since 1963, EUROCAE has developed performance specifications to facilitate the standardization of aviation technologies - bringing together manufacturers, service providers, airlines, airports, aviation authorities and other stakeholders. The technical challenges facing the aviation industry are numerous and airports want to be involved in their efforts to address technical solutions that benefit all stakeholders and contribute to more sustainable, efficient and safer operations. .

According to the Memorandum of Understanding signed in April at the EUROCAE symposium in Toulouse, ACI EUROPE and EUROCAE intend to share expertise and best practices and work together to advance the interests of a truly global aviation industry.

Therefore, ACI EUROPE will be able to connect its members to more than 500 airports in the work of EUROCAE to develop ground and air standardized civil aviation system and equipment standards. EUROCAE will have access to the expertise of the ACI EUROPE Technical and Operational Safety Committee, which brings together top experts in safety management, airport operations, ATM interface / integration and other technical areas - and thus also contributes to the work of airports in these areas.

Christian Schleifer-Heingärtner, Secretary General of EUROCAE, said: "We are delighted to welcome ACI EUROPE as a full member of EUROCAE. Strengthening cooperation with the airport community will be very beneficial for technical standardization activities, but also for EUROCAE as a whole. , to complete the stakeholder group ".

Olivier Jankovec, Director General of ACI EUROPE, said: "As airports are the hub of the European air transport network, we are very pleased to begin this new collaboration with EUROCAE. This is part of our efforts to ensure that the airport community continues to innovate and It is closely involved in the development of the latest technologies. Through our involvement in EUROCAE, we will have a voice in standardizing emerging best practices and their impact on airport operations. We look forward to actively collaborating and contributing to EUROCAE. "
