1. Applicants are invited to create accounts and verify the information found in their personal accounts is correct. Any inadvertence can be reported to the e-mail address pilot@caa.ro.

For the examination sessions which will take place after the 22nd of May, all applicants will submit their applications online, at portal.caa.ro (regardless of whether they have already been submitted to the Romanian CAA registry or not), taking into account the following aspects:

  1. Applicants who have paid the theoretical examination sessions, but have NOT participated in any exam, will submit their applications in caa.ro and then they will send an e-mail to planexam@caa.ro informing that the fee has been paid (proof of payment will be attached, along with identification data: name/surname/date of birth/ID number, etc.).
  2. Applicants who are in ongoing examination sessions will check the correctness of the examination results in the platform. If there are any omission, they will report these inaccuracies to planexam@caa.ro.
  3. Applicants who have completed the theoretical exams and who cannot access the practical exam request, will notify the omission to the e-mail address pilot@caa.ro.
  4. License holders who have completed the practical flight examination by the 22nd of May, but who have not been issued a new license, will apply for the practical flight examination in the platform with the dates of its performance (prior to 22nd of May 2023), and within a maximum of 5 days, Romanian CAA makes the necessary changes to allow them to apply for a license.

After operationalizing the portal.caa.ro platform, Romanian CAA will not accept requests transmitted by e-mail or any other methods in regard to Flight crew licensing. Therefore, please create accounts and follow the instructions provided (here).

2. In order to help applicants who want to obtain the cabin crew certificate, the Romanian Civil Aviation Authority has simplified the way to use the application through which the theoretical examination and re-examination can be planned.
Improving the use of the application is part of the process of digitizing the services offered by the AACR, and the new functions are available from December 16, 2022.
The online application managed by AACR is available here and was made in accordance with the provisions of Commission Regulation (EU) no. 1178/2011 and of PAC EXAM ed. 1/2021, with subsequent amendments and additions.
